We and Solar do Mimo successfully launched and recovered everything. Here is a sample of the photos that were taken. More will come soon.
The new Balua launch which will be done in collaboration with the institution Solar do Mimo is set to March 29 (Saturday) at 14.30 GMT.
The coordinates of the launch are: 40º 24′ 07”N 7º44’02”W,
Will be emitting APRS (144.800MHz) callsign CQ7BALUA.
You are all welcome to join us tracking the balloon!
This launch will be done in collaboration with the institution Solar do Mimo, aiming to promote the “Our Dream” project, which boils down to the construction of new facilities for the institution.
The launch will be on March 29 (Saturday), between 13 and 19 hours.
Solar do Mimo is a temporary Shelter of children at risk, nonprofit, with public utility status. The headquarters are in São Romão and carries activity for fourteen years. http://www.solardomimo.org/
We now have even more Balua members with the National Amateur Certificate. Congratulations!
This accreditation is essential to be able to work legally in RF in Portugal (especially in the frequency ranges used in Balua). Below you can see the CAN cards and the respective call signs, they now join the previous members already certified.

The new 3D Printer has arrived! The Makerbot Replicator 2X is ready to be used for prototyping parts and accessories quickly and effectively!
The 1st thing to be printed was the symbol of Balua.
Here are the steps followed by the end result.
We used an infill of 10% and white ABS polymer. One interesting thing is that despite the fact that the piece has a considerable dimension and thickness, it weighs only 13g! Very promising for making the parts that will be used in our HAB projects!
